POLITICS PLUS

Today's news is decentralized and diversified.

The Bush administration is going ahead with plans to build a missile defense system to shield Europe against missile attack from_______________ . President Bush indicates that he has Iran in mind, but Russia's Premier Putin believes otherwise. The Russians are insulted and take Bush's act as a threat to their influence in Europe. Traditionally, Russia has wanted to be included in Europe.

This is more meddling on our part. We can't seem to adhere to the beautiful "live and let live."

Our every move these days is too invasive and too expensive. The repercussions are destructive.

Let's go home and mind our own business.

More Politics

* Newt Gingrich - you remember him - is eyeing the stage, about to jump into the quest for the
throne of the empire. Recently, he blasted Bush for mismanagement of the war, the borders, and the economy. It was quite an attack, one which will launch a civil war in the Republican union.

* Tonight's Republican debate will be a turning point for many of the candidates, with Gingrich and the actor Fred Thompson circling like vultures. Tomorrow will present a whole different picture. McCain and Giuliani will flame out soon.

* Libby will be sentenced today, but it doesn't matter much because a presidential pardon is on the way. I mean, they can't have him writing a book like Clarke and Tenet did.

* Hamas and Fatah are at each other's throats. Palestine is on the verge of civil war, which has been a goal of the Israelis for decades.

* Civil wars are all the rage now: Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Palestine, Indonesia, the Republican Party.

* Radio Rush says that Bush withheld the information about Russian trucks moving Saddam's weapons of mass destruction to Syria. Acccording to the man with half of his brain tied behind his back, Bush did not want to risk a confrontation with Russia at the time. The Rush never stops.

The Dixie Thinker is serious fun, but not for the snug and smug.

Meetings & Events

The Society of Social Engineers will meet again and again and again, at city council, county commissioner, and school board meetings.

For Sale

Cheap. Republican platform. Used only once - at election time in 2004. Call owner Karl Rove.
