TWENTY-YEARS-FROM-NOW NEWS:

The Washington County school board decreed a Spanish-only policy to begin next school year, thus abandoning a bilingual program which began almost 20 years ago.

A three trillion dollar no-bid contract to rebuild bombed out (Shocked & Awed) Paris, France was awarded to Haliburton Corporation, President Jeb Bush announced today. Work will commence as soon as the French resistance fighters, insurgents and terrorists are quelled.

The Good Ol' Boys 20-year reunion planned for this Saturday at Dick's Cafe will be held at Scaldoni's - back room, way back. Dick's Cafe was closed when Dick moved upstairs at age 92.

THE SPECTRUM disclosed through a usually reliable, unnamed source that the media monolith will purchase KDXU Radio to go along with ST. GEORGE MAGAZINE, PIONEER SHOPPER, JOB GUIDE, DESERT VALLEY TIMES and several other acquisitions. Local pundits believe that the move will allow the newspaper to better manage the news.
