* Six generals call for Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld's scalp. Does this mean they don't support the troops? No ribbons on their cars?
* Congress voted to build a 700-mile fence - a wall - on our border with Mexico. But wouldn't they need illegal, undocumented workers to construct the thing? Would Americans take the jobs? Hey, if you're not cynical by now, you're not paying attention.
* The guvmint might consider another, cheaper way to stop the flood of illegals. They could outsource the border patrol to foreigners - such as Mexico.
* Vice President Cheney's tax refund of $1.9 million was made public at the worst possible time. Tax time. Sources tell us that thousands of workers were about to drop their tax returns into the mail box, but when they heard the news about Cheney they tore open the envelopes and bought baby a new pair of shoes.
* Deport the illegal folks? Cruel, impossible? President Eisenhower did it in 1954. Ike issued an executive order and declared that Americans needed the jobs. More than a million illegal immigrants went home quietly and without incident.
