The Road to Damascus

Sources are leaking to us that the Bush team can't tell up from down. This only confirms what we already knew, but we know something else: the Bushies don't know directions. They're looking east when west is where it's at. We're talking weapons of mass destruction. Look at the globe, if you're in the dark with Bush.

WMD was the reason we went into Iraq. Agreed? And as you heard, when our troops advanced toward Baghdad, Russian trucks backed up to Saddam's WMD warehouses late, at locations our CIA had identified, and loaded the deadly stuff. Then the Ruskies got on the road to Damascus ("we got us a convoy") and deposited the cargo in Syria. That's what W's guys told us. So, why don't we invade Syria and destroy the WMD? What's all this talk about Iran? Iran is seeking to enrich its uranium, as is Brazil, and does not possess Saddam's bogie-man arsenal.

This reminds most serious observers that we once had Osama bin Laden by the tail, let go, turned the other way, and invaded Iraq. Now the George W. people - who not only knew where the WMD stash was but also where it went - are going after something else in the opposite direction.

They say the porch light is on, but nobody's home. In this case, you can't even see a porch light. The Bush folks can't tell a Sunnite from a Shi'ite. No clue, lost at sea, playing with 51 cards, and smoking something cheap.

Do the Bushies want to find the WMD or not?
